Reviews to Danny's Cycles - Upper West Side
Staff pressures you into spending more money. Regardless of what your intentions are upon arrival. They always choose the most expensive route. My Seat post tube was stuck in my bike frame and they wanted to just sell me a new one and told me removing it would ruin the frame. Went home got upset and used my brain. With in minutes I got it out with a wire hanger and WD40. Now why couldn't cycle professionals think of that ?! I'd rather use the East side location next time.

Garth is a good mechanic, and
Has been very reliable....some other brand name NYC shops will size u up and look to make u feel like Julia Roberts on rodeo drive, in pretty woman.....the new money nyc snob culture, is a 50:50 in NYC brand name bike shops...this place does the job, without the games.

I usually never leave reviews but this time I feel compelled to.
I had a flat tire and needed it fixed quickly, and this shop was conveniently located because it's close to my apartment. However, I was reluctant to go: the majority of reviews were negative and mentioned rude and inattentive staff. But then I noticed that those reviews were over a year old, and that the only recent review (a month old) was positive, so I took my chances and went anyway.
My experience was good. The staff was very professional, their attitude looked good to me, and I felt in good hands. I suppose the staff has changed since the bad reviews.
Not as cheap as you'd like but I won't hesitate going again.
