This is my favorite lunch place around simply because the prices are amazingly affordable for Midtown and the sushi is always fresh. I also love their spicy chicken rice bowls, which for $6.99 is a delicious, filling, and inexpensive lunch.

Love this little Japanese market. Perfect spot to grab some onigiri rice balls or a little sushi. You could come here before to Central Park and have a picnic. They also sell Japanese ingredients, snacks and some home wares.

A jewel in this part of midtown, a full japanese grocer selling anything from bento lunches to suntory teas to frozen shabu shabu meats. Prices are par for the course in midtown, in fact its a cheap option for sushi or teriyaki lunch cravings (take away only) compared to other sit-down options in the area .
