Reviews to D Parture Spa
I've been here three times, and have had a highly varied experience. Two of the times were fantastic, and one of the times was horrible, primarily due to the skills of the massage therapist. The other reviews are generally right in saying that the staff is disinterested and doesn't take their job seriously, but even with the lack of professionalism, you can still get a great massage -- you're just rolling the dice on who you get. This could be an awesome experience and a great way to start a flight with a little better professionalism, management, and quality control. As the overall experience stands now, however, can't give it more than 3 stars.

GREAT WAY TO SPEND TIME AT A AIRPORT. My flight way delayed due to the weather and I stopped by the spa for a foot massage (it was one of the best foot massages I ever had) I originally asked for 10mins and ended up doing 30mins. I forgot I was actually at the airport :) must stop by again on my way back home.

Aweful D_parture lady staff member shouting at father for spanking his daughter after she ran away from him and tripped on conveyor walkway, nearly trapping her fingers.
1. Who shouts 20 feet away and tells a father to "hit him!!!" and points to her Male Staff member
2. Has a full out argument with father, drawing BAD attention to d_parture center.
3. She is NOT parent and does NOT know what lead up to event. (If you have more than 2 children you know what i mean)
4. Call the Police IF you think it is bad, do NOT heckle passenger(s) in a stress filled environment.
5. Ms Fernandez Maildeli should lose her position @ D_parture for this rude outburst.
(yes i was so embarressed for this guy, i took her name) Shame on you Ms !!!

Seriously, what's going on with this place?
Place was dead I had flight in 45 mins to boarding, they sent me away for 15 minutes when went back they still had no customers,1 girl was on her cell to her boyfriend, eating snacks and drinking a smoothie on the salon floor, the other behind screen on a bed reading her book, and the other one away for a walk returned after 15 minutes. They had no clients before me, why all take breaks at the same time (?) Girl tried to seat me while finishing her phone call on cell. She was so distracted and continued call on speaker, pouring me a basin of cold water for my feet without checking temperature. Then girl treating me and her friend basically made eye contact laughing and whispering about the poor guy the other was massaging in front of me. I was cringing.
$45 for a pedicure. In the city you can get a really good mani + pedi for that. I've paid half for both and had a way better more professional experience. Place is badly managed, staff are disinterested. I said before I sat in chair my flight was boarding in 30 minutes. She was on phone still and looked like I was an annoyance. Made me late for boarding.
Go to the wine bar round the corner wine's great staff friendly and kill 30 minutes there. Not here. Save your $45 + tip.
