Cuzco Peru Restaurant

This is a great option in Rego Park for delicious Peruvian food. They have a variety of meal combos that offer a great value. Most of the combos are some form of chicken, rice, beans, and maduros/tostones. I also highly recommend their fried seafood platter -- a mix of shrimp, calamari, fish, and crab on a bed of fried yuca that is absolutely delicious. And don't forget the delicious, spicy green sauce. It comes with your meal and you can order it separately for use at home. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Service is quick and friendly.

The place is great for authentic Peruvian fare. Had sangria and chicken and both were great. The portions are large (we did not finish) and the service was good, although you need to be aware of the culture. Don't be a wallflower and go seat yourself if they don't get to you right away.

Had the Chicken, Arroz Chaufo de Mariscos (rice with seafood) and Maduro (sweet plantain) and it was all delicious! Especially good with the 'green sauce' that comes on the side.

Abysmal customer service!!!! And I have been purchasing food from them for quite some time now so that goes to show you how much they appreciate their customers. I always order my food to go, I call at least 20 minutes before I pick up and they almost ALWAYS keep me waiting for my food. They like to tend to the customers who sit & eat at their restaurant and completely IGNORE those who order their food to go. When I inquired with one of the waiters for the SECOND time on the whereabouts of my take out he informed me that he could not stop to talk to me every time he passed me in the restaurant, as if me inquiring about my food was such an inconvenience to him, like it was putting him out. He was very rude, obnoxious & even raised his voice to me in the restaurant. Clearly they do not train their employees in proper customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant honestly the food is not even worth the frustration I've had better Peruvian food.

Not what I expected. We had the ceviche and tallinin saltado. For the price would have expected bigger portions. The potatoes and beef could have been softer. The music playing was awful. I was hoping for some authentic Andean music. But the staff was friendly and the place was clean.
