I had a recent marketing initiative that included building up my brand as the face of my company. I had ideas in my mind for images and how I should be shot. During the initial discussion and planning phase, Danny asked great questions and understood what I was trying to accomplish. Interestingly, he did not tell me what he thought we should do.
Instead, on the day we met for the shoot, he took a few sample photos of me and via discovery, let me determine whether I still felt the as I did before in terms of how I should be shot. It was his way of delicately saying "there are other good ways of doing this that will make you look good, but I wanted you to see for yourself and decide for yourself before proceeding with any of them". I found this to be an incredibly collaborative approach.
We shot at many angles, with many backgrounds, and with many points of focus, all in an effort to give me an abundance of options. What I saw in the results was someone who took what he learned in the initial project discussion and translated it into exactly what I needed.
His easy going demeanor while still applying laser focus on the details makes him ideal to work with. I couldn't recommend him enough and would act as a reference for him any time.
