We experienced ice-damming and a significant portion of the hardwood flooring was damaged in one of the bedrooms. The damage was most severe in the closet and extended about six or seven feet into the 18 ft. length of blond hardwood flooring. A width of eight planks were warped and separated - it looked AWFUL!
Happily I have the most wonderful general contractor [Durante Construction in Elmwood Park] who gave me Cronin Flooring's number.
It was decided that the whole length of the room (from closet to opposite wall) planking should be replaced.
Cronin's quote was incredibly reasonable!
Mr. Cronin's workers arrived at 8:30 a.m. and were done before noon. What a terrific job....they even chose darker grains to abut the older undamaged 36 year-old planks.
Quite honestly, I was only hoping for "okay looking" results and I got PERFECTION! Seriously!
