Cresskill Performing Arts

My son has only been at Cresskill Performing Arts for a little over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with this studio. Ms. Betsy and her staff are the kindest, most professional teachers I have ever seen. They truly care about their students, as well as the families. I would, and have, highly recommend this studio to any and all who are looking for a place to send their children to dance, sing, act and have FUN!! Because, isn't that what being a child is all about?

This is a wonderful place for children to come and learn to dance but also have a ton of fun with the amazing staff and other students. I was given an opportunity to teach a breakdancing class there and I was blown away with how caring everyone was for each other. The teachers were kind and caring for the children and in return, the children were respectful and enthusiastic towards the teachers. The positive energy is contagios because a similar dynamic came into my class and it has stuck with me ever since. Betsy is a great leader, teacher, and an all around great person. If you are reading this review in search of a studio to take your children, I highly recommend Cresskill Performing Arts.

My daughter has been dancing at this wonderful family owned business for the last seven years. This is my child's "home away from home." This is the place where she feels and IS completely safe, valued as an individual and supported both emotionally and physically by a staff of experienced, professional and caring teachers. Betsy Daly, director and owner of this exceptional place is the most genuine, caring person I have ever met. She always has a smile and a warm welcome when you arrive. This studio is not just her business but her passion. Each child who enters her doors are encouraged to be the best they can be. This studio is unique in that there is no pressure on the children to perform for trophies. This studio is all about creativity. All that Betsy asks is that the children have fun in whatever they do whether it is dancing, singing or acting. This studio consistently provides an environment that is supportive, understanding and nurturing. The entire staff from the teachers to the front desk are always courteous and available to the students and their parents alike. Betsy has not only been supportive and generous to my child over the years but to my family as well. I feel blessed to be a part of this exceptional studio and all it has to offer. I want to thank Betsy and her staff of wonderful teachers for encouraging my child to recognize her abilities and for igniting her passion for dance.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can comment on places they have never experienced for themselves. I have been associated with CPA since its beginnings. It is a fabulous studio with talented teachers. One of its greatest attributes is the fact that it is a non-competitive studio where ALL children of ALL abilities come together to sing, dance, act, fence, and CREATE. There is no pressure, no trophies, only photo albums and pictures on the wall of smiling happy children. This is a place where do good for others doesn't take a back seat. The Troupes perform for free in the community and promote a joy for the arts.

CPA is a family-owed and operated business that gives back to the community through many different avenues including scholarships at Cresskill High School, the Fiddle Foundation and Slice of Hope. Students are encouraged to work together to create something special, something beautiful.

I have seen Ms. Daly, firsthand and behind the scenes helping families in need, being available 24/7 and sharing her passion for the arts with her faculty and students. When personal tragedy hit this family only 2 weeks ago, Betsy had to put her pain and sorrow aside to get the studio open for camp that Monday morning. That is not about money, it is about dedication. And for that matter, when is it a crime to offer a service and not expect to be paid? She is absolutely not "all about the money". That is a comment to forward someone's personal agenda and it is grossly untrue and unfair.

Having a daughter who has danced in several places over the years, Cresskill Performing Arts is a fabulous studio where children are encouraged to embrace their passion for the arts. It is a great addition to the businesses offered in Cresskill. And it is ALL about the children they serve.

But don't take my word for it or anyone else's...stop by and see it firsthand for yourself. You won't be disappointed that you did.

I worked here during my summers off in college as well as took a few classes. The teachers are professional, experienced and lovely. The students are funny, artistic and talented. And the director, Betsy, makes sure everyone is safe, happy, and learning. There are classes for young and old, experienced and novice. With professionalism, quality teachers, and a fun exciting environment, everyone who attends is in for fun and artistry. You can even swing by and sit in the lounge to watch performances of the students from previous years. As far as dance classes go in Bergen County, this is the only place you should go.
