To David - I personally would like to apologize to you for any inconvenience Crossroads Ministries may have been to your family. I have been the director for 3 years and hand pick all of my leaders so that way i know what your children are going to get as a counselor. These leaders have also served in our church for many years in other ministries and do a phenomenal job caring and catering to the children. Not only that, but they always try their best to show all students the love of Jesus in all ways possible. I really don't know what to say about the price of Crossroads being expensive. We charged last year $100 plus a $25 registration fee for 4 weeks (20 days for roughly 6hrs a day). Comes out to be roughly $25 a week, $5 a day. I think that is extremely reasonable and more then fair, especially when we offer scholarships for those who may struggle financially. I defend this ministry b/c this ministry has done nothing but be a blessing to our community and the community to us. I defend my leaders b/c they are teenagers giving up their ENTIRE summer to make minimum wage so they could build relationships with students and share with them the Love of Jesus Christ. And they do an EXCELLENT job. So i extremely saddened and sorry your child had a difficult and unusual experience. I would like to close by saying that your last comment i agree with. Not every camp is for every child. And so i would agree that you shouldn't feel pressured into having to come to our camp. However, it seems every year, i have to turn away 50 families b/c they were to late in registering for our camp. That proves to me that God is doing something amazing and wonderful here at Covenant Church and in the lives of all the children who enter our doors. So may Jesus continue to get the Glory.
To - ZIP...i appreciate your comments and if you are registered this year i am looking forward to serving with and for you and your family again. Have a great week, month and year.
Be blessed David and Zip!
