Cousins Paintball Staten Island

The fields need to be redone because the bunkers are old and many of them are falling down. Got there on a cold day and the minute I took my gun out of my bag the ref was standing rite behind me telling me to put my barrel cover on. I have my own equipment but a lot of people had problems with broken guns and nonseeable mask with bad foam. I don't know if the cold weather was the cause of the problem but the paint didn't shoot very well. The ref wasn't quick on paint checks . I would watch the people wipe the hits off , no running water in the waiting area and only one bathroom
The worst part of my experience at the field was when a kid had a problem with his gun and the one ref fixed it then the other ref took it and broke it. The two refs argued. The ref Tony kept coming over to my table and giving me a lecture like I was stupid , then walking to the field the ref "Tony" was taking down about the other refs.

I get that all people don't get along but if it between coworkers they shouldn't make a sense in the middle of the day and argue in front of paying costumers. I played a lot of paintball before so being talked to like by the ref like I didn't know anything really set the tons off from
this field
I like the field it was just the immature of the ref and the way he approached people instead of lecturing them talk to people to help them
Cousin seems like a nice place to play paintball but if that ref is working I'll take my business else where . I want to play where a ref is helpful not someone who believes there doing me a favor by taking down to me and doing me a favor

States Island site :
Lots of old , poorly maintained rental guns, my whole group had to change guns several times, yet problems kept happening. Office employees were great, but outside employees were terrible. No organization, lots of standing around talking with one another, on phones, and eating. Acted like doing us a favor to go ref the game.

Place was packed yet they always brought 60-80 people to one field instead of opening up another course.

At one point today two guys faced off to fight in the wait area because of an on field issue . Screaming, yelling, cursing in the middle of the place. Outside workers again did nothing - would not even intervene. The red head worker said, they don't pay me to get punched in the face and stood and watched. There were younger kids, mothers and families all around that had watch this.

Would NOT recommend. Been to several other fields with no issues.

This place has so much potential to compete with other paint ball facilities a few changes in staff customer service but for the most part the service was a six out of ten. The problem i had was with a referee he was trying to treat myself and the group of guys i played with like children we went as far as asking him when he doesnt work so we dont come on that day he definitely made the experience a bad one i came with a group of six all adult men also the walk on matches become very big and only two refs there was a lot of kills left on the field i will definitely be going back hopefully i see change in how they referee the matches

After my first bad experience with the place I told myself not to go back. But I gave the place another try and it was a complete night and day experience. This time the refs were on top of their job and the staff was very friendly. They even remodeled some of the fields to make it more balanced and fair for each team. My only concern this time around was the quality of the paint I got, my marker was getting a lot of barrel breaks but this is the 1st time it happened so it must have been a bad shipment of balls. Definitely gotta give it a try if you are looking to play some paintball.

The refs don't care about much and don't pay much attention. But the refs are friendly and pleasant to talk to so if you are a pro I wouldn't go here but if your just an average person who likes to go paintballing once in awhile this is the place. Pricing is crazy $10 for unlimited air I paid $5 for a few refills and they didn't even fill it I ran out of air during the game. I am going today again with my own gear so I will sadly buy $10 for unlimited air is it worth it no but it is a paintball field.
