Amazing Ruben's delicious B+B breakfast sandwiches. Certainly a home run. Even on an off day. Yum

Court Street has some of the tastiest sandwiches in the city all in what looks like a corner grocery store. In front, there are shelves of snacks and drinks from around the world including interesting products not normally sold in the US. Behind the counter though is a second counter for sandwiches. There aren’t a huge number of choices, but the ones there are delicious. The macho man comes on a toasted garlic bread with deliciously marinated pork shoulder and pickled jalapeno. The bread is crispy and perfect, holding up to the sloppy ingredients well. The meat is also delicious and flavorful. The space itself isn’t incredibly atmospheric, but it works for shoving down the delicious sandwiches.

One of my favorite delis to visit for both breakfast and lunch. If you're in the mood for a really tasty sandwich, you'll want to go here. Crunchy breads and not too much meat. Love the Italian combo.

A great neighborhood spot with creative, reasonably-priced, made-to-order sandwiches in the back. Peruse the wide selection of somewhat expensive condiments on the shelves, and then grab some hot coffee, Four and Twenty Blackbirds pie, and fresh salads and sides in front.
Favorite sandwiches: Mother-in-Law (with house braised beef short rib), Mr. Victor, and Broccoli Reuben.

There's a lot of hype around their sandwiches, and while each is an inventive mix of ingredients, we found them to be a bit underwhelming. Maybe we came on an off day, but the ingredients didn't seem as premium or well-prepared as expected. I'd certainly give them another chance, but (in my opinion) this place wasn't a home run.
