This Saturday I did a 60th birthday dinner for my husband with 20 of our family members. Although there was another event at the same time, our service was still excellent and the food was great. No one left hungry with the abundance of food which was served. As far as the bad reviews from several years ago, they must have changed the cook or took the advise of the bad reviews to improve their service, because everything was excellent. I recommend this venue for any event or just for dinner.

Great food, strong drink, & fast service. It's a little bit on the pricey side but certainly nothing over the top. Comparable to what South River's Ria Mar used to be like back in the day. You're getting your money's worth with the portions & the quality of the food but my only minor complaint would be that when you walk in there's no host or hostess. So after standing around dumbly for a few minutes I had to finally ask the bartender where we could sit & she just said, "wherever you want." OK, simple enough. Wish someone said that sooner. Other than that it's a very good place to go for dinner if your in the area. Also, the white sangria is top notch. We'll surely go there again.

We had a group of 12. The appetizers were great. Garlic shrimp, calamari, antipasto with sausage and olives. Then we got a simple but fresh nicely dressed salad. Everyone seemed happy with their main course except one which was mine. Don't order the garlic chicken. There was a too thick corn starch gravy that tasted like it was flavored with bullion cube and some Worchester sauce. I didn't taste garlic. I give it 5 yucks.

I always liked this restaurant. However, it seems to me in the last year it has really gone down hill. I was there last in January. First we waited almost a good ten minutes in the waiting area to be seated (even with a reservation) not because there weren't any tables but because no one came out to greet us. So we sit down and notice immediately how understaffed it was. There was a private party going on and only 2 waiters to take care of the rest of the dining room. So we order the clams casino to start. Clearly it was some frozen stuff. Tasted like crap. Then we ordered the Paella. This is one of my favorite dishes and I couldn't eat it. The lobster was disintegrated in the shell and rotten. So I tell my severely overworked waiter about it to which he simply replies: "oh. I don't know" He doesn't know. Ok. I do not recommend anyone go there. Poorly handled seafood can kill you. And They are clueless. Its a shame because this once was a great place.
