Corner Furniture

Worst place ever. I still havent received my delivery of the kitchen table set I ordered. Everytime I call they say "oh yes, its going to be delivered in an hour, don't worry." You'll never get your money back either.

This review is for The Corner Furniture Store, on Broadway and West 145th Street. If they have to order a piece of furniture -- any piece -- from some warehouse, I'd skip this place. Especially if you'd strongly prefer the item to arrive soon (e.g. a bed frame). You will get the run-around: a week *after* the estimated arrival date, the woman there will say you should speak to the guy, but this is his day off so you have to wait till tomorrow (he has many days off). If you show up at the store and get him, he will give you a story about an urgent delivery happening the next day and yours will be picked up and dropped at your place along the way. Give me your address and phone number. Wait at your home from 2pm till the evening. The delivery doesn't come, nor does an apology. Call to start the run-around again.

They can actually do this for another two weeks, even more. Trust me. And this isn't an extraordinary experience. If you wait at the store long enough you'll see another customer entering to ask why her furniture hasn't arrived. I'll be asking for my deposit back tomorrow; I hope *that* doesn't lead to another string of delays and excuses.
