I was very disappointed in my experience here.
I went to the store on 3/5/2011 to purchase some Chardonnay. I selected a bottle of Cupcake at $10.89 or $10.99 a bottle and I decided, in for one, in for two. So I bought two. I brought them home, and upon immediate inspection, the foil covers on both were cut. That should have been my first clue. I proceeded to open one. Lo and behold, the cork on the bottle of Cupcake I opened said "Puglese Vineyards" and had their phone number. Last time I checked, Puglese is on LI and Cupcake is in CA. The wine inside was watered down.
I raced back to the store to get there 10 minutes before closing to be told I was lying because a) they don't carry Puglese, and b) they would never cut the foil. I didn't expect to be challenged upon my return. I was shocked and disappointed by the service at the store.
They did refund my money, but not without confrontation, but I will not be returning and will be sharing my experience with all my Island Park, Long Beach and Oceanside friends.
