Cooperative Nursery School of Ridgewood

A friend of mine suggested to look for a co-op nursery school within the area. I was a little bit hesitant and scared to get the co-op experience. A year later, I now have two kids enrolled in the Ridgewood Co-op Nursery. Co-oping in the classroom consists of building lasting memories with my children. I do not consider co-oping in the classroom as a form of work, but it is a privilege to see them grow in a co-op nursery. Being in the classroom once to twice a month gives me a glimpse of how my children are progressing and interacting with their peers and teachers. The teachers provide positive feedback about my children's day. To me, they are considered to be the most patient and hardest working professionals out there. I feel confident knowing that my children will be prepared for kindergarten in the future.

This is our second year at the Ridgewood Coop and we are thrilled. The teachers have all been there for years and therefore are highly experienced. The play based curriculum, nurturing teachers and community of wonderful families is just what little ones need before elementary school. I am a teacher and came from NYC and this was the best preschool environment I found in the area and I am so glad I found it!

Our family has had such a wonderful experience at the Ridgewood Co-op. My eldest daughter is in her second year, and my younger one will be starting Mommy & Me in January. I liked the idea of a co-op & being in the classroom occasionally to experience it first-hand with my daughter (& all the kids love the days that their mom is the "helper" in class), but what I didn't fully expect was the sense of community among the families. We were new to town and it has been a great way to make friends.
It has also been a great first school experience for my daughter. The teachers are great at creating a warm, welcoming, fun & creative environment for the kids, where they learn so much without even realizing it. My daughter always comes home full of news about her day.
If you are looking at preschools in the Ridgewood area, and are interested in exploring the co-op option, you definitely have to check out this school and see all that it has to offer.

Both of my children attend the Coop and we love it! It is a loving, caring, nurturing environment where they have both thrived. I love being able to connect with them, their teachers, and the other families in the classroom. I would recommend the Ridgewood Coop to everyone!

Play-based curriculum in a nurturing environment with fantastic teachers. It is so special to have the privilege to be participating in my children's first years at school. A wonderful community of families where both children and parents make lifelong friends.
