Great place with great people. As visitors the community welcomed us with cheers and applause along with the pastor. Changed a little bit my way of thinking about religion. Thank you convent community !

As a long time (28 years) resident of the Hamilton Heights community and a neighbor of one of Convent Avenue Baptist Church's properties, I must thank them for being a good neighbor and working with us in our struggle to re-build community.

Amazing people....truly welcoming and genuine. My very blond teenage daughter and I were able to worship with this congregation during their "honoring the elders" service, which was incredible. Just walking to our seats we heard music and singing like none other....and this was BEFORE the service began! After hearing amazing words of wisdom from a 95 year old woman, many members of the congregation reached out to us gals from Minnesota, who clearly stuck out from the crowd. One couple ran into us 2 subway stops away and thanked us for coming to their church (I thought it was a mistake since by now we were quite far from that church and had passed several other churches along the way) and the gentleman said "no, you were at Convent Ave Baptist and sat in front of me". WOW! Is that hospitality or what? They proceeded to suggest a good soul food restaurant, which was what we were after, and walked us several blocks to find it. My heart was filled by this incredible congregation!
