I came to get visa. Experience was frustrating. I was sitting there for more than 2 hours with out any call.
Neither they speak in English not they respond to my questions. My token number is only 3 in line for visa. Staff is calling all other type of applications but not visa token numbers. And receptionist was horrible. If this is the case even if I want to visit I will avoid by all means going there.. Over all this experience sucks!!! I hope to give zero stars.

Today Monday December 7th 2015 I tried to contact with this office.
After many tries and because I noticed that some one was hanging out my calls I finally had someone at the phone, this nasty lady so disrespectful and bad attitude told me "no one is here call back at 9:00 am" which I replied-"if no one is the how come I am speaking with you?"
She replied "hurry tell me what do you want? Because all information is in person at our office " and you can any way try later after 9:00

I call again 9:03 and the same nasty lady answer my call, I have to tell she send me to to an extension 301 and it rang just 3 times and I was in a "leave a message after the tone".
So I drove over to their office to ask just a simple question:
-Do I need to change my passport even if is not expire? A friend told me that is a new edition and the old ones must be replaced.

One I was there a man was on customer service window and was not a waiting line, not a line over the floor or anything that tells me to wait away from the window up to get call, so I just walk ahd I greatted him, this man did not even look at me or human response to a "good morning " I feel insulted and I steeped a little bit away and I wait to be called, after several minutes this man talk at me with a bad attitude and said "what do you want?",
I was about to complaint first about my phone call earlier today but after a second nasty office worker I did not say anything I only i asked what I needed to know and I could have the same answer over the phone.
Shame for this people so shame that an office that represents a country are rude.

I haven't yet been here, but I soon have to - which I am fearing. This is my experience so far:

I want to ask if I can apply for a tourist visa for my trip in August now. Usually some countries have a time period before which you cannot apply for a visa.

Setback number 1: The website is in Spanish. I didn't see an option to translate it to English.

Setback number 2: I received an e-mail response after sending a few emails which wasn't clear and all other emails that I sent after that have not been responded to. (That 1 response saved them from getting just 1 star)

Setback number 3: There is no human on the other end of the phone number. A machine tells you information that already exists on the website and there isn't a way to contact a human.

The consulate is 7 hrs away from me and it wouldn't be possible for me to go there right before my trip. I have non-refundable tickets. (I am an Indian Citizen, so I need a visa to go to Peru :( ). I want to ask a basic question, but there is no way to communicate with them.

Also, I need to go the consulate twice, yes, TWICE - first to apply and second to receive the visa if it is approved. Why can't it be sent by mail, like most other countries? I am really looking forward to my Peru trip, this is not a good start though. I hope my experience, when I actually visit the consulate, is better.
