We stopped in here to try out some #NYC Irish faire, while on vacation.

They had a great atmosphere (not counting the Techno/Pop/Rap/Dance music, instead of Irish music). The servers were very nice and attentive.

The food was about half good. Elizabeth had the Gaelic Burger. She said it was awesome. I had my standard Shepherds Pie. Sadly it was not good at all. I tried adding some HP sauce to make it taste better. Sadly, not even that helped. This is really the only reason for the three stars. The rest of the trip was great.

I will say, they do know how to pour a Guinness.

Good place to grab a drink or bar food. Atmosphere is a cross between a sports bar and an Irish pub. The manager had an Irish accent, so that helped the atmosphere. I was there with a group and most of us got our orders quickly, a couple of drinks came slowly. Otherwise, a pleasant place to have a drink.

I just wanted to compliment the chef and service at Connolly's. My friend and I wanted to split a Shepherd's pie because she eats at Connolly's and says it's huge. I thought the restaurant would be annoyed by the request, but instead they brought over each portion separately so that we didn't have to share a plate. They charged us for one entree. It was so kind and in response we left a generous tip and plan to go back. I know that restaurants are mainly known for their food, which by the way the food is excellent, but this kind gesture is what really made them a favorite with me. The waiter was very nice as well. Go to Connolly's for great food and service.
