Coney Island Hospital

I feel that Coney Island Hospital is getting an unfair bad reputation. I've dealt with numerous departments, and made quite a few trips to ER - while dealing with many health issues of both my brother and my mother. I have nothing but praise to the wonderful doctors, nurses and nurse's aids at this hospital. I actually truly believe that both my mother and brother are doing well because of these wonderful professionals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warning! Do not ever come to this hospital under any circumstances, especially to the emergency room. The staff is absolutely rude and doesn't treat patients with due respect. They are not gonna think twice before they violate every single one of your rights and if you try to leave against medical advice, security guards may restrain you, strop you off your clothes and tie you to a couch. The worst hospital ever!!!

I'm warning you guys from experience: DO NOT COME HERE. This place does not treat patients with the respect and care they deserve and will do whatever it takes to get rid of you before actually helping you. What kind of hospital tells patients that they need a "Real" reason before a doctor will bother to see them or they'll be turned away? This place is a death trap.

Went to the ER at Coney Island Hospital after having an asthma attack on Christmas Eve. Was brought right in. Started on a breathing treatment within minutes. The nurse was clearly busy but still attentive. I have to commend everyone that night, including Dr Leo. Was there in and out in a quick 3.5 hours.

I really do like most of the staff, but i love the doctors over at the hospital. The doctors are always with a patient and on there feet as they should be. Sure there are some problems with it being over crowded sometimes but this is new york city and in Brooklyn the area is highly populated so you can only image the stress the staff and employees deals with. I appreciate all the hard work everyone at Coney Island Hospital are doing, Also do notice the good changes and improvements to the hospital each year. For the people and future patients, its just up to us to make the change if we must to improve the atmosphere around us by showing and giving love to one another.
