Fun place to go have fun, it's packed with lots of people most of the time. The rides are really fun, beach mostly clean and the water is nice to go take a swim. Can't leave Coney Island without riding the Cyclone.

A very quiet and relaxing spot. I guess it's one of the favorites by the New Yorkers. To reach it, just take the D line until the last stop. Then just have a walk on the wooden boardwalk. On one side there is ocean, on the other the first luna park ever. Actually every other luna park takes its name from this. Haven't been there by night but I guess it's even more magic. Plenty of shops and restaurants too.

I've been going since I was young and for a long time I took Coney Island for granted. As I get older I appereciate the fact that it exist in New York City.
Everyone living in NYC should venture to Coney Island at least once. I don't go for the beach life, I'm not too found of the rides. I however enjoy the music concerts, festivals and events held there yearly. Did I forget to mention the amazing food?
For anyone who is interested in knowing more about me, I'm addicted to ice cream and a bit of an ice cream snob...okay, I'm lying. I will eat any ice cream. Coney Island has one of the best homemade ice cream. It ran me $7 for a cone and I went back for seconds.

Beautiful scenery, really nostalgic flair. The beach itself isn't that great (waste and litter in the sand) But the promenade and some of the diners are worh a look. An easy trip with the subway from NYC.

Its a little bid weird. You enter the metro downtown manhattan, were the life is beating, stress and nothing beside glas, metal und cars. After you leave the train, your at a place where you can hear nothing beside the ocean, and feel sand under your feets.
