The prospect park planners Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted designed the Concert Grove in 1870. Thus as I could notice, the Concert Grove was a place for open-air promenade concerts, and was designed with terraces and a radial arrangement of walkways, punctuated by lineally arranged trees, lavish floral beds and elaborate decorative carvings. This place was recently restored.
