Comfort Inn Staten Island

I am a choice employee and had a great rate, for a guy like me who just need a bed to pass out for few hours this is the best option rather than spending soo much money anywhere else, FD staff is awesome Specially Evette, She's the best they got. She knows how to put a smile on your face. Place is clean, Room attendants know there job. only sad part is there isn't any store on walking distance so if you have a habit of smoking or eating snacks in the middle of the night, make sure you grab that during the evening or you would be stuck. Thanks for being awesome Evette. and thanks to all the FD staff for taking good care of all their guests.

The staff were racist towards me during my stay from Florida to New York. They harassed me and my guest. Ny roon smelt like sh*t when I entered. The security guard there was so rude, the FRONT DESK CALLED MY ROOM AFTER 130AM IN THE MORNING. I WAS SO UPSET, they woke me up during my sleep asking if they can come up I said sure only because I thought it was an emergency. The security guard came into my room after 1:30am !!! With a ladder to fix my smoke detector!!!??? I asked him why couldn't they do this while I was out and about in the morning time!!! Why are the calling so late. As i sat there COMFORTABLY IN .MY PAJAMAS he was in my room just playing with the dector. He said he had go make sure it was ok ???? I still didnt understand why it has to be done at this time at night. Do they call other customers after 1:30am ??!! Why me??! The next morning I saw that I was charges 150.00 to my account I called They accused me of smoking in my room ??!!! They stated the security guard said so. I was so outrages why did the security guard say anything when he was in my room at 1:30am ?? Beside that I was mot smoking in my room dor god sakes I was sleeping it was close to 2am in the morning. After I explained to the manager the next day she apologised for them calling so late but did not seem to care much. She also did not want to refund my money untill i explained to her why the security guard did not do his job by not speaking to my about the smoke he just assumed went called me after 1:30am to come into my room and smell or find anything. They offered to take someone to my room to check it out immediatly I agreed as I had nothing to hide. The employee did not find nothing nor did he smell anything. I also told him about my experience last night with the front desk calling me after hours and how i felt uncomfortable when the security guard came into my room while i was half sleeping in my pajamas. The employee as well myself was appalled and upset as this is not procedure. I even went the extra mile to let him check my draws and bags which employee did not see or smell anything. I was refunded my money and they were so rude, I still didnt feel safe in the hotel. I felt like the security guard as well as the employees were watching my every mood and probably EVEN CHECKING MY ROOM WHILE IM GONE. They treated my different. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVERR. THE MANAGER SPOKE TO OTHER EMPLOYEES ABOUT MY PERSONAL SITUATION , I EVEN HAD ANOTHER FRONT DESK EMPLOYEE ASK ME IF I WAS THE GIRL. HE KNEW ABOUT MY STORY / SITUATION AND WASNT EVEN INVOLVED. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AS I WAS A RETURNING CUSTOMER (this WAS MY 3RD TIME STAYING AT THIS hotel.) BUT I WOULD NEVER AGAIN STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Service was overall good. Rooms were shoe boxes but clean. Staff as good but other patrons were of the ratchet variety.

They had mopped the floor in the bathrooms and did not put up a wet floor sign. My girlfriend ended up falling and she already has metal rods attached to her spine due to scoliosis when younger. The staff who was working during this was very professional but when the general manager came to work the next night she came up with a reason to kick us out and made us leave the property when they were originally supposed to be comping us a room. We will definitely be pursuing a personal injury claim against this company. Very unprofessional of them to do this at all.

The room was the size of a walk in closet. No room for bags so we had to step over them to get around the room. The outlets on the lamps didn't work half the time. No fridge or microwave. Waking up to a dead phone and needing to use it first thing in the morning for business was not fun. We found hairs in the bed that were not ours (Before we slept in it) and the toilet was dirty. There were busted walls in the hallways, the floors were filthy, the elevator is very slow and the doors randomly open for no reason. Parking is a joke. With two other hotels using the same lot good luck finding a spot. I didn't have their free breakfast or use anything in the cellar so I can't comment on it, but if the room is this bad I doubt anything down there is good. If I had the money to I would have canceled my other 2 nights here and gone somewhere else.
I accidentally forgot some personal info in the room that I thought I had packed. The next day I got weird phone calls from a casino so I'm suspicious that my info was taken and used. Will be reporting it. I called the hotel to see if they found it and get them to mail it to me. By this time it would have been found by cleaning staff since I checked out the day before. My name and number are in this info and it was in the room so they knew who it belonged to. They said they found it but couldn't ship it so I had to get someone i knew in town to get it and mail it to me. They seemed very irritated to have to deal with me at all. Even if the room had been nice this bad service would be enough to stop me from ever going back. I was put on hold 5 different times just trying to tell the person at the desk the name of my friend so she could give it to the right person. Ridiculous.
