Only go to her for a last resort. Very rude and belittling. It would be better if she kept quiet.

Dr.Aversa is a great doctor. Always kind and helpful with paperwork that my school needed or if I came in last minute for checkups. Only good words come to mind when I hear the name :)

We think highly of Dr. Aversa. She is great with our two sons (3 and 6), always kind and caring. We have never had a problem getting an appointment during office hours for sudden illnesses. We came to Dr. Aversa after being in two different practices with multiple doctors and feeling like we never knew which doctor we would see. I really like being with a solo practitioner and knowing we will see Dr. Aversa when we go to the office. She is always open and conversational with us as parents and takes the time to talk through how she thinks our boys are doing. Overall, I have been impressed with Dr. Aversa and would recommend her to other parents.

I agree with Jay walker. Dr. Colyer-Aversa is definitely not the doctor you would want your children to see. She's great with the kids but treats the parents like they are insane for calling the office in an emergency. In addition, she NEVER returns phone calls for emergency situations. Last night my son had a fever of 102.2 and my daughter had a rash all over her face, clearly signs of scarlet fever which if left untreated could have serious consequences. She never called back I even had her cell phone number and texted her.. she did not get back to me. I am sooo done! I'm moving on and finding another doctor who cares for my kids.

She's the worst doctor in the state of NJ. I wouldn't take my dog to see her I love him to much. Her staff sucks. Her bedside manner is horrible. Tried to leave and they withheld paper work. I've known this doctors when she first started out in Irvington. She used to work under doctor Lauraden. My daughter saw her a lot. I guess she got to big for her britches. May depend on what you like, to get good service.
