Terrible place. Management is a joke. AC is horrible, I used to pay for parking but gate never worked so canceled parking, smells horrible, dirty, ONLY thing nice is the views of NYC.

Worst apartment ever. Admin is usually useless. Get ready for bedbugs! Cold in the winter hot in the summer. Run-down. Frequent water outages for repair. Weekly fire-alarms due to smoking requiring you to walk down 21 flights with family at 11pm. Antagonistic security. Cockroaches will visit from neighbors daily. Kids lounging in hallway and playing basketball outside you room late at night....security will ignore even if you call daily. Loud-speakers in the park outside your windows late at night so you can't sleep. Run from this apartment as fast as you can!!! Don't let the price sucker you in. Not worth it if they paid you to live there. Did I mention drug dealers in the stair-wells?

The office people were nice. The place inside is not too bad. You have to pay extra for everything. But really, the neighborhood is not where you want to be! I took the bus to go visit the place and I had to walk in the middle of quite a large group .... Boarded up houses. Gives you an idea....
Good luck. !

Kettler management has engaged in a pattern of behavior that includes deception, harassment of tenants and possibly outright fraud in regard to State and local Rent Control laws. What ever might be good historically about the building and location is completely overshadowed by the poor behavior of the management company Rent is relatively low. 24 hour door man. Designed by Mise van Deroe. 8.5 ft ceilings and almost floor to ceiling windows give you a view of the NYC skyline. Living in Newark is not for amateurs. A commitment to city living is required. Walk to train, restaurants, NJ PAC and a high quality art museum. Olmstead designed park across the st. to the west. NJIT, Rutgers and UMDNJ are all within five blocks.

To be honest, this place is not all bad, but I have to rate it a one star for one main reason: I only have lived here for a month and my car was stolen. The sad part is all of that all of the cameras that they have, they don't have any near where my car was parked. I think that it is outrageous to park inside the parking lot, when a woman's tires were stolen twice; yet the residents have to pay $100/mth. It is extremely hot in this apartment and they are very lazy in their updating. I have seen two floors that have been updated. They only allow certain people with pets which is unfair; they constantly have thugs hanging around; and the hallways smell. Do I advise you to live here? No, I don't. And especially if you are not physically and mentally prepared for Newark choose somewhere else like Bergenfield or Hackensack because although they might be higher, atleast you're safe. Note: Know the area before you sign the lease and always be aware of your surroundings. Do some comparisons in prices and weigh out all of your options with this place, because unfortunately, I didn't and you see where I am.
