Collect Pond Park

The "Pond" is a concrete pool. It's usually empty. When there is water in it, the water is stagnant. Occasionally people bathe in the pond. Calling it a park is a strain on the common understanding of that word. It's more accurately described as a bench on the sidewalk near a tree. On one side is Manhattan Criminal Court and on the other side is Manhattan Family Court. So the constituents of the park tend to be arguing family members, released prisoners, or lawyers - if you are looking for a park in the area go to Columbus Park.
