This will be a long review but when writing something negative about a real estate agency, one needs to give all the details.
SO, a few months ago I listed my house with the Locust Valley, NY office of Coldwell Banker, seeing as how my house was in that general area and I wanted the appropriate representation. After 2 months, I was advised by my agent that the Locust Valley office would be closing and that she would be moving to a difference brokerage in the area, because all of the agents and listings were going to be moved to the Roslyn Heights office (which is about 10 miles away).
Seeing as how I wanted local representation for my house, and my alligiance was to the agent and not a specific real estate conglomerate, I signed termination papers in November to have my listing canceled with Coldwell Banker.
My listing was transferred to the Roslyn Heights office and my agent left Coldwell Banker in the beginning of December.
Fast forward to January, and Coldwell Banker refuses to remove my listing. The Roslyn Heights office, which is currently holding my listing, has not contacted me ONCE about ANYTHING. No re-assigning to another agent, no open house scheduling, no "Hi, how ya doin."
I have been trying to contact the manager there for a week no and guess what? No response!!!! How can these people expect to hold a listing hostage!?!?!?
If anything should change regarding this matter, I will post an update but, if there was a real estate agency holding your house hostage with no communication, you probably wouldn't be happy either.
