The place has an old food smell to it, and the lady at the counter has a very nasty attitude. I ordered a lunch special and when I tried to pay with my debit card, she acted like I committed a mortal sin and began to chastise and belittle me like a child being scolded!! Needless to say I walked out without the food and I will never go to this place again.....

This place is great. A cute little restaurant for all vegan Chinese style food. I went with a friend when it was pretty chilly out (early April 2013), and was worried that it would be cold but it was really quite comfy and warm! Decor is average, nothing special. Cleaner than many other Chinese food places I've been to.
Prices are quite reasonable, about $10-13 per entree, $4 for smoothies and non-alcoholic beverages. Portions were very big and we both had leftovers. I had the curry "beef", she had the General Tsao's "chik'n", and we shared some spring rolls. It's basically soy meat analogs, and it's delicious. It's no Zen Palate - which has a similar menu and prices but with fantastic decor and phenomenal food. ZP spoiled me, but ultimately, I guess they weren't sustainable because they closed down most of their locations. Anyway, back to CoCo Lin. The flavors were very good but the textures on the soy meat could have used a little work. Not bad at all, but again, I've been spoiled.
Service was great, the waitress was really fun and friendly and happy. I'm a big water guy, and the water was just right. They also deliver for orders $10+, so if you're in Ridgewood/Bushwick area, they're def worth it.
Overall, I give it an 8 out of 10.

From the moment you walk in the waitress/hostess is very hospitable and friendly. The vegetarian meat options have some of the most meat-like textures i've ever had. If you would like to introduce someone to vegetarian eating, you could take them here, order just about anything, and tell them that it was meat after they've eaten it. They would hardly know the difference. i eat here all the time and would definitely recommend. have the general tso chicken.

I made this my two-time a week place to go. A peaceful atmosphere, very caring service and the food is exceptional. Try the veggie dumplings and the basil chicken with ginger slices, you won't be sorry. Clean food with a pleasant experience. Great place!

Perfect Chinese place that's Vegan-friendly and not extremely greasy! Yes, you read it right, not overly greasy.
I had the Chicken Curry, which was a delicious soy chicken, with Fried Wontons that was crispy and not soaking. Also the Broccoli on my plate was not overly cooked, fresh and crispy. Also the Curry had a nice fluffy consistency. Instead of the usual Fortune Cookie, they end your meal with Grapefruit, which was a perfect end on your palette!
Unfortunately this area is not so Veggie friendly and it's right next to a cliche Chinese Food joint, so I'm weary if it'll last. It's a healthy option for sure, but probably one of the most delicious Chinese food I've ever been at, Vegan or not.
I highly recommend!
