2004 Passat 5 speed ,was having a shimmy thru clutch pedal.Kevin owner of Closter Transmissions diagnosed problem.checked entire car, found it to be a bad axle. Kevin's knowledge is unsurpassed and labor was more than fair.Replaced bad axle,problem solved. Any drivetrain issues from now on I will go to Closter Transmissions first. J. Kunze

Have finally found an honest, fair, mechanic who can diagnose as well as turn a wrench. Kevin always listens carefully to everything I explain to him. The shop's specialty is transmissions, but they also do everything else. I had an electrical problem with my van that I 'lived' with for years. Kevin fixed it within hours, and explained every aspect of the process as he moved from most, to least likely problem. Yes the place is hidden and off the beaten path, maybe even a "hole in the wall' but so many great places in life are like this.
