What a fantastic time!!! I've lived in NYC for 21 years and this is the first time I've sailed! Great crew, not too many landlubbers on board (took the 2:15 tour which lasts 1.5 hrs), $7 for a beer which is pretty average in NYC. Will definitely go back. Wish it was for a longer sail!! There is a 60 minute version of the tour that is narrated. I booked this through Viator. There are other boat tours out there, but I loved the idea of a mid 19th century replica of a lumber ship with real sails.

We just saw the same you see when you go on the Staten Island Ferry - then of course for free. The night tour is a complete joke.
Stay away from this rip off for tourists !

We went on the Wednesday night Jazz sail, and had an amazing time. The staff are all extremely friendly, and answered all of our questions about the area. The jazz band wasn't the best, but with the right company, it was a great time. The atmosphere is cozy and the views from the water were pretty neat.

Did the statue of liberty cruise with the family. Travel zoo had a discount. Even at full price would have been worth it. Great crew, fun experience.

I grew up on and around the water- and I live in a tourist town myself- but this was the best "boat tour" I've ever had by far. The ship is sturdy, the crew is friendly, and the booze is great. The views are spectacular and the tour was the perfect length at 1.5 hours. While the vast majority of folks on board are tourists, it didn't feel "touristy." The ride is NOT narrated, there are plenty of places to sit (there really isn't a bad spot on the boat), and it's a wonderful respite during a busy visit. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was beautiful. Highly recommended!
