Efrain is an exceptional martial arts and grappling instructor. The positive energy and enthusiasm at the Clifton Academy is contagious. Not only is BJJ self defense great for health and fitness I've also found that Jiu-Jitsu training has been the perfect activity to share as a family. If you are reading this review look no further my friend. This is the place for you and your family to train. 5 STARS!!

Bad experience there. Classes were taught by purple belts. Owner/instructor Josef forgot our appointmentto train. Then he shows up to wrong location. Just says sorry after an almost 2 hour wait for him. Then they expect you to pay 175/month plus 160 for uniform and they also have registration fees also. I think this place is all about money and not the students. Going somewhere else

I have been training with Efrain for 9 years and jiu jitsu has truly changed my life. I have lost 80 lbs and kept it off, I learned more about myself in this class than I could possibly have imagined. All in a clean, structured, understandable, low pressure format. Add to that the confidence gained from knowing you can defend yourself in any situation, being in superior physical condition and the mental toughness to endure any difficult situation, what more can be said.

Efrin rojas is a child hood friend of mine. He always had a profound love for the martial arts. When I turned 44 years old weighing 260 lb he invited me over to train jujitsu. I felt weird stepping on to the mats not knowing what to expect getting physical with individual's I've never met before. When I walked in I was greeted by all of the students they made me feel at home. Efrin took his time to help me with techniques answering all of my questions five years later I received my brown belt i never thought I would make it this far. Time really does fly when you're having fun. I love the sport of Jiu Jitsu and now we have three fantastic black belts Joseph Manuel, Steve Abbel and Issac Chavez. Joseph is the owner and head instructor of cutting edge jujitsu in Harrison New Jersey. All black belts are constantly educating themselves attending seminars staying relevant with the latest technique in Jiu Jitsu. twice a month both schools get together and cross train and the students in Harrison are just as gracious and respectful as the students in Clifton its hard to find a school in New Jersey that offer this kind of training environments.

I used to do alot of intense workouts at the gym, circuit training, suicides, the typical chest/bi's ;tri's/shoulders; back/legs schedule, and yes I felt rewarded but the routine got boring and I wasn't challenged enough. My friend referred me to go to Efrain Rojas BJJ for a free trial and all I can say is wow!!!!! After my first day I was sore for 3 days! Training here has honestly been life changing, your flexibility, your endurance, overall body strengths are all enhanced guaranteed after training for at least a month. The workouts are by far the most intense (better love cardio!) for the overall body and on top of that you are taught self defense by 3 black belts who have competed throughout the country! Everytime I go in there something different is being taught and new drills are implemented to enhance our skills. Its been 2 years and 30lbs less (and counting :D) and I can honestly say I have made the right decision ever. (still blows my mind that I see WOMEN choking and wearing out guys who are twice there size!!) Highly recommend this to anyone I guarantee you no gym workout can compare!
