I am so upset i need to give this salon even 1 star. Let me explain my experience with you, in hopes that you STAY AWAY from this salon! The girl who normally does my weave was on vacation and i was desperate so i googled a local weive salon, that looked normal with OK reviews. I called up and asked if they do braid tracks and they said yes... When i got to the salon they told me that they only do interlocking which is a new thing and healthier for your hair and a bit more expensive and she told me that it can even last longer and it will have a flatter look because there is no braid! So i was pretty excited... until she started putting it in my hair that is... it hurt so much i felt like she was sewing it into my soul lol or atleast my scalp, she was also very ruff and had no regard for me when i told her it hurts. after an hour of tourture, it was done.. I thought it was kinda weird that after every track she put some glue substance over it, and when i asked her what that was and if it will damage my hair she told me no it wont, it will come out soon and its a sand substance just to bond the threads together or something... I also thought it was weird that it felt even more bolky on my head then my normal braids do.
So everything was fine, until a month later, i wanted it out! Even though it was a little premature of me to get it taken out, i felt the brand new Remi hair that was put in was starting to matt up way too much. I called my normal girl and asked her to come over and take it out and put new hair back in. I asked her if she knew how to take out interlocking and she said yes. I felt like surgery was getting done to my hair - she had such a hard time getting the thraid out because of the disgusting glue stuff they put in- long story short i lost a great deal of hair, had to immediatly shower and rinse out the harden glue gunk from a month prior ! and then my girl who was ready to do the traditional braids on me, advised me not put my tracks back in tonight because my hair was " in shock" and falling and breaking all over the place. Now mind you that none of the reason for my hair falling out had anything to do with the girl who took it out- i watched her very closly and she cute none of my real hair in an effort to take the threads out- the ONLY reason i lost my hair is because of the interlocking tecnique and glue. Now that you know my story i will tell you my girlfriends story quickly - I refered my girlfriend to the salon about a week after i got it done - she went in there super excited and when it came time for her to take out her tracks, she had my problem x10 - in fact she actually lost chucnks of hair. So i know nothing about this interlocking thing but im sure its a great idea by theory... i mean folding your hair and sewing into it sounds miserable for your hair, but perhaps if it was done a little differently and with none of that glue stuff it could of worked ! they should warn you what that glue stuff does to you. it ruined my Remi hair and my real hair by making it so dry and making it break off.. im so upset and at the moment i am trackless which is annoying - i will never go back there and anyone reading this stay away !! They have no regard for your real hairs health
