Reviews to City Vet
This place is amazing. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful. They will answer any questions you have and will accommodate you in any way possible. The vet techs here are knowledge and caring towards your pet. They will interact with your pets as if it's one of their own. The techs will help alleviate your fears and calm you down if you as stressed about your pet. Lastly, the doctors. Talk about being caring, friendly, and having great bed side manners. They will even try treatments that won't break the bank. Finally, I find that, due to the services provided, this place is relatively cheap compared to other vets I've been to.

It was my first time at City Vet. I took my brown tabby cat there for a regular check-up and vaccinations. I also needed advice about traveling with a pet. The team at City Vet was friendly and knowledgeable. I am pleased with the service and the information they gave me. It is absolutely great that you can be in touch with them through email and discuss any questions or concerns you may have, which is in my case is a plus.
I really liked the interaction between the vet, my pet and my son - the vet let my son listen to our cat's heartbeat, which was cool. :) Other than that everything went smoothly - the shots and dewormer. We will definitely be back for our health certificate before my cat Yoga flies to California with us.

Granted I can't even give this place 0 stars, but it does deserve the 1 only because the doctor was very gentle and compassionate. Otherwise, it's a total rip off! I recently took my very sick cat to City Vet for no reason other than proximity to where I live; my little angel was very ill, had gone behind the couch to die in peace and I couldn't bear to watch him suffer. First, I was in the room for 15+ minutes before anyone even walked in to talk to me, it was only 9:30am and my cat was dying. I was frantic and in tears and going through a devastating time, a very difficult decision, and an emotional breakdown over the loss of my friend of 17 years. Then they give me the 2 " package options", yes for euthanasia, and the thought did cross my mind "wow, $400 is steep", but what option did I exactly have?! take my dying cat home while I google cheaper places to help him? so I paid of course and didn't think about it much until I happened to be at my regular vet with kitty #2 and out of curiosity asked about euthanasia costs. I kid you not, they more than DOUBLE charged me what a vet on the UWS, debatably with a higher rent to pay, charges for the exact same "package". $75 for inserting a catheter, $95 for a sedative for a 7 lbs cat?? as if losing my friend wasn't painful enough, as if they didn't know about all the money I'd spent on emergency rooms the prior week, this was just plain unnecessary insult on top of injury. Please take your pet to a CARING practice; this review isn't about the money, it's about that awful feeling that someone took advantage of my painful moment of suffering for their own monetary gain.

My dogs and I just moved to LIC after living in midtown NYC forever and we really lucked out by finding City Vet. The staff is incredible (almost too nice) and the level of service, professionalism is top notch and with reasonable rates to boot! I would highly highly recommend City Vet LIC to anyone pet owner and look forward to my next visit.

It was my first time going to City Vet and would definitely recommend it. The service is great the people are super friendly and it felt like they genuinely care about their patience. Other veterinary offices do not have that personal touch as City Vet. Very pleased.
