The owner did a used car inspection for me. He charged me $45 and did a less involved inspection than what another mechanic might charge $150 (for example he didn't connect it to a computer). He brought us along and drove it hard around the neighborhood, testing out acceleration, shifting, and brakes. He put it up on a lift and looked underneath and under the hood for issues. He answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable. For the value of the vehicle I was purchasing, it was exactly what I needed. Perhaps for a more a expensive vehicle I would go elsewhere, but otherwise I would use him again.
