Not exactly bucolic, but it gets the job done if you need a lil downtown rest spot. Just make sure there's not an event or protest happening, otherwise it'll be loaded with security and barricades.

This is a great place to sit down and watch the fountains... when they are on. There are some sculptures scattered throughout the park.

Good clean park. Never did see De Blasio here though. Wonder if he's even working these days.

If you like a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. This park gives uou the tranquility needed. especially around lunch time. people come to relax, have lunch and feed the birds and squirrels. tourists get a kick out of it. locals either dont bat an eye or they just watch. The animals are tame enough to hand feed. Then theres the occasional primetime series shoot.
