Exactly what I was looking for...a quaint, authentic, modern-rustic italian restaurant in soho. Traveling solo on business, I just wanted a place to chill at the bar with a glass of wine (or 3) and something to read. Music was upbeat, but not disruptive...perfectly balanced, not stuffy at all. Started with the insalata caterina. Every ingredient was so fresh and portion size very generous...I was full before my tagliatelle and meatballs came out. Didn't stop me from finishing every bite. The homemade pasta was fab, as well as the meatballs and sauce. Service (bartender) was so mindful and sweet, especially with the tasting of tiramisu ;) I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

My eyes rolled back in my head as I tasted the gluten free gnocci with octopus. Service was fantastic and it wasn't expensive. Wine was excellent too!!!!

Hands down the BEST Italian spot in the neigborhood!
Top 5 reasons:
1. You feel like you've suddenly been transported to Italy! Ciao!
2. The special meatballs. TO DIE FOR.
3. Carrot Salad (sooo special, wow!)
4. The Staff have this certain something that is just so infectious! You will be laughing and smiling when you leave :)
5. They make caffe shakerato (rare!)

You will be greeted by a super gregarious, friendly Italian upon entering, just like in the old country! Try their updated spritz (the pear slice is a nice touch) and a pasta (the monkfish ragu was super rich but not fishy). A great neighborhood joint.
