I hosted a birthday dinner party for my husband at this restaurant last weekend. The waiter greeted us and asked if we would like to start off with drinks and appetizers. My husband asked for coffee, and was told "we're all out of coffee this evening". We then selected as appetizers calamari and the Lobster Mac and Cheese off the menu and again, we were told they were all out of both dishes. The dinner was tasty, but there was a long wait for our meals to be served. I am all for supporting black businesses, but this was very disappointing. To top it all off, the waiter served my husband a slice of the red velvet cake for his birthday and informed the rest of us that was the last slice. This restaurant MUST DO BETTER!!!! I am a foodie that loves fine dining. So if you are looking for fine dining, I highly suggest not choosing this restaurant.

I went for brunch on New Year's Day. The food wasn't bad but the service was. Our waitress messed up a few things in the order then was going to charge us had I not said anything. I'm not sure if I'd go back but I would recommend it as a place to give a shot if a friend was looking for somewhere to eat in Harlem.

First of all, we were a group of 6. Everyone's food came out and my plate arrived 15 minutes after everyone's and it was COLD. We asked to speak to the manager and told her the situation. To say the least, she lacked customer service skills. It was clear she has never been a manager before because she had no clue how to handle the situation and she provided no reasonable solution. She just stood at the table saying "I'm sorry." We then asked to speak to the owner. They were in the corner speaking and you could tell that they were negatively talking about our table. The owner then came to the table 20 minutes after we requested to speak to him. His decision was to take my food off the bill (which only made sense) and give the table 15% off the entire bill. To top it off, on the way out, the hostess at the entrance mumbled under her breath, "They were walk-ins anyway." Long story short, avoid this place. They were extremely unprofessional and they had an "I don't care" type of attitude in regards to our complaints....Now, about the food. I obviously didn't eat but the rest of my party said their food was "ok" at best anyway. Everything was overpriced for a small amount. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Oh and I forgot to mention it was my birthday brunch that we drove an hour and half to go to!! They will NEVER get money from me nor anyone I know. I heard negative comments about this place prior to going and now I'm kicking myself because I should've listened and gone to Boulevard Bistro instead.

My experience at this establishment was very disappointing as all was well until they asked my party to leave. Saturday night I treated a friend of mine who recently retired and his wife and daughter as well as my wife. Spent over three hundred dollars. After Paying it they said were not rushing you but we have a lot of people trying to come in do you mind wrapping it up. I was so pissed I vowed that I will never go back there again. That was so tacky and ghetto and so unprofessional.
I am a man of integrity and have eaten all around the country and I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything of that nature.
News flash when someone asks for the check usually that is a cue that there wrapping it up and getting ready to leave.
Tacky. !!!
If your planning to eat there I STRONGLY suggest that you consider another location. !!!!!!!!

My friend took me here for my birthday, and we had such an amazing time. The atmosphere, the staff, the decor, the food was excellent. I have NEVER tasted lamb chops and salmon that good. Even the mac and cheese was perfection in my mouth. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who would like to enjoy the presence of good company with excellent food and vibes. Very low key atmosphere (at night, because I heard that brunch is very packed and filled with excitement). I definitely recommend the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. For dessert, I recommend the chocolate lava cake. I will definitely go here again.
