It’s hard to believe that it has been over 28 years since I first met with Richard Greene to discuss my desire to pursue a career in aviation. The quality training and educational experience I received from Century Air all those years ago has allowed me to confidently rise to the level of Airline Captain. When I recently decided to pursue my life long dream of becoming an aircraft owner, I once again turned to Century Air. I am extremely impressed to see that Century Air is still a leader in the aviation training industry. I am once again grateful to Richard for providing the training, experience and education needed to allow me to confidently pilot my new aircraft in the general aviation environment. It’s humbling to know that with over 20,000 hours of flight time you are still teaching me things. If there is one primary thing you taught me over the years, it’s that you never stop learning! Training and currency is an ongoing process. In the future I will continue to turn to Century Air for all my general aviation training needs. Please feel free to use me as reference so I can recommend Century to anyone in need of quality flight training and an outstanding aviation educational experience.

I received my flight training from Century Air many years ago and return every year for recurrent. I have always found the instructors and Captain Greene to be most helpful and pleasant to be around. The facility is top notch as are the aircraft, and simulators. Although I've been coming here for many years this is the first time I have written a review. I'm troubled by the one, two, three star reviews. If you read them it doesn't seem like these people made it past a thirty minute first flight, or a consultation that they felt didn't go there way. How can you pass judgement on something as serious as flying with your own life, and say its not the best price to quality ratio. Really...for my money I believe you are getting the best training money can buy ! This isn't Burger King where you can "Have It Your Way".

Reason for going to Century Air- Instrument Rating.
From the very beginning when I went to visit the flight school I was suspicious after I had received the normal spiel from the owner. The lecture that he gives every prospective student consists of putting down and talking bad about almost every other flight school. He will ask you how you found out about their flight school, in response to you saying you researched or shopped around, He will hastily respond and say "People treat getting their pilots licence like purchasing a hamburger, I'm not in this for selling burgers." If you do or do not tell him how you were trained he will continue to judge, assume, and criticize that the way you were trained is wrong and inferior to his flight school.
The first day i started this Part 131 program I was sold 500 dollars worth of books which I found out were marked up at least 200% of amazon cost. I arrived there and started to learn how to operated a g1000 glass cockpit which was going to be in a c172. The owner informed me that this was what i was going to fly. After studying there all day I was informed though a flight instructor that in fact there was a steam gauge c172 available that I was not informed by the owner this plane was available to me. The difference in price per hour between these two planes was 40 dollars. Anyone that knows about aircraft rental will know that this is very significant. This whole situation gave me the impression that the owner cares more about the size of your wallet.
I started this flight school on a Monday and left on a Thursday. Due to the way things evolved where I was treated like someone who had never flown an aircraft. In recently meeting a student pilot and having a conversation which the owner overheard and made an insulting comment saying that I will not be getting close to an airplane because he doesn't know if I even know how to fly an airplane. I was not fairly evaluated as a current Private Pilot and i was embarrassed by the the unprofessional owner. The next day i demanded a refund and luckily received it.
Overall I was not satisfied in the service I received at Century Air and I will be "Shopping around for a different hamburger."

I was trained poorly before enrolling at Century Air. I arrived at Century on a rainy overcast day, and the company’s president Richard Greene, gave me his introduction to the business. He was honest and reassuring. He explained the academic program yet tailored a plan for my needs. I left his office feeling confident that soon my training would allow me to fly into the gray overcast with confidence. This became a reality over the following months, given the disciplined training I received in Risk management, personal minimums, and Crew Resource Management. My dedicated instructor demanded high standards and took interest in my questions. The school has a comfortable establishment with classrooms, study areas, computers and simulators. Of course the greatest assets at Century Air are the professional staff, who were always there to assist me. My primary instructor was never my only instructor at Century Air. With Century, I completed my Commercial Certification, Multi-engine rating, and my Instructors certification. Today I’m flying a Learjet, and my fellow alumni are also doing what they dreamt of when they first enrolled at Century Air. I highly recommend this school.

I've earned multiple certificates at Century Air. I can tell you the instructors and owners are extremely helpful and professional. They focus more on providing exceptional training rather then trying to get every last penny out of you, which unfortunately, I've dealt with at many other flight schools. After starting at Century Air, I realized I finally found a place that does everything right. If you're out shopping for a flight school, stop in and meet with Richard Green. He'll show you how a real flight school should be operated.
