Central Queens YM & YWHA

This place was my childhood. Went to the Day Camp for several years, played in the basketball and soccer leagues run by the CQY, and had my birthday party at the pool in the basement one year.

The Y is great! There were some issues with customer service when we first joined but recently there have been much more friendly and professional people at the front desk. The workout room could use some tlc but I can highly recommend the classes that are offered there, especially the ones by JESSICA and ADAM. They are truly amazing instructors.

My daughter loves the CQY. Her first experience was with Coach Adam at the age of 3 when I enrolled her into a sports class which she continued to attend. She now talks about Adam all the time. I saw Coach Adam, Coach Adam instructed my Prek gym class and on and on. I also enrolled her into swim lessons. Erik, Kevin, Lior are awesome. Her swim classes were all held even though she was the only one enrolled. As a parent I hit the ratio jackpot. Ms. Aleeya her pre-k teacher has also left a lasting impression. She makes drawings for her, letters for her and overall really likes her. She is gentle, soft spoken, funny and just really nice. Could I have asked for all this? Yes, I could have, but I would not have gotten all of this in the 2015/16 school year had I done so. Highly recommended.
