I was referred to Dr. Fran Celenza, by an Oral Surgeon, Gary Ruth, after a bicycle accident. I thought I was being referred to the best orthodontist to deal wit the effects of my accident. I was also sent to a dentist. I was not informed that the three had a dental business group together.
During my treatment Dr. Celenza was not forthcoming about what was being done. He was evasive when I asked specific questions and was misleading in terms of what I could expect as the outcome of the treatment. At the beginning of the treatment there was an issue and I was given the option to stop. I wish I had consulted another doctor at that time. But I was still dealing the the trauma of the accident, and I thought that my concerns would be dealt with as we proceeded. At the end of the treatment, the concerns that I raised were never addressed and, ultimately were never corrected. He has a basic lack of respect for patients, their concerns and difficulty responding directly to questions concerning treatment. I was VERY unsatisfied with the treatment that I received.
It has taken some years to get perspective, but I would NOT recommend Dr. Celenza as an orthontist, or for any treatment.
