Great space (patio!) and friendly (and sometimes quirky) service. Food definitely plays with sweet/savory in interesting ways that make this a fun place to try, but I am not head over heels for the menu overall. Nice beer list.

The drinks were water down. I ordered shrimp ettouffe and it was so blend nothing like new orleans cajun style as I was expecting. My friend ordered shrimp and grits and the portion was so small. The roasted chicken was good. The jambalaya was ok. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I really wanted to like this place. Living overseas, I don't have much access to to Cajun food. I had high hopes, especially after starting with the delicious voodoo bloody mary, a jacked up cajun-style bloody mary. But then, unfortunately, the food came. It looked and smelled good but the texture of nearly everything was awful. The biscuits were dense and dry. The three of us had an order of 2 biscuits to split that we couldn't get through, even though the accompanying jelly was delicious. While the breading on the chicken fried steak was nice, the steak itself was incredibly tough and hard to work through. Finally, the bananas foster pancakes were gummy. The flavors were good, but the textures were awful.

This place is fire and should definitely have a higher rating. For that southern comfort when you need it up north. Excellent vegetarian options! The grits are transcendental. Great vibes, service, and food!
