Very professional. Best dental experience I have ever had.

At first I liked this dental office. Unfortunately that was short lived. Being a dental office manager myself for over 12 years, I am very aware of policies, procedures and basically all aspects of a dental office. 1st i was supposed to have a scaling and root planning (deep cleaning) I want to think that because I don't have the greatest insurance and because they were unaware of my dental background, they attempted to pull a fast one off on me and give me a regular cleaning while billing my insurance for a deep cleaning... shame on you guys. (submitted complaint with my insurance company) 2nd Their ill-mannered receptionist or whatever "job title" she holds, (JESSE) NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!! I hope either you or Dr. Mulkay is reading this. She seriously needs to have some classes that teaches you professionalism and etiquette in a medical / dental office / customer service atmosphere. The attitude and rudeness that projects to patients should not be tolerated, as it wouldn't be in my office. With that being said, my extended family of 12 will no longer be seen at this practice.

I went to visit Dr. Mulkay sometime in August she did some minor work on me at that time she seemed very professional and caring. She submitted an approval for an abutment to my insurance which was approved. I then returned in November to begin the process for my abutment, to my dissapointment I was seen by one of her co-workers which informed me that abutment could not be done. I would have to get a dental implant or a fixed bridge which my insurance does not cover according to him. Not so my insurance covers both procedures when medically necessary. Would he bothered to look at my medical record he would have known I fall into this category. He just brushed me off I had to tell him about a tooth that needed a filing and the other tooth in the back he did not bother to look at. I send a letter to Dr. Mulkay and emailed her as well got no response from her. The receptionist called me to let me know they got both the letter and email and Dr. Mulkay will be contacting me. I am still waiting for her to contact me, well better yet was waiting, because I don't care to deal with unprofessional and unethical individuals.. So for Those with an HMO I suggest you do a background check and weigh out the reviews before you go to Castillo and Mulkay Dental PC

horrible service by their front desk secretary named Gina. Will never go back to this place. after waiting 2 hours they only took Xrays but didn't even touch my cavities and than give me an appointment to go back in 3 weeks even thought I was in pain. called several times to see if there was any cancelled appointment or if I was able to go in as an emergency but there was no help from their behalf. avoid yourself the headache and go somewhere else that actually cares about their patients.
