Carrig Montessori LLC

We absolutely love Carrig. We have been impressed from the first tour we took. Our son loves his teachers, as do we, and he brings home such great projects each day and looks forward to going to school everyday. He has started sounding out words, recognizing words and writing his letters and he is only 3! He learns such a wide variety of things and we are so grateful to have found such a wonderful school for him. His brother is excited to join soon!

We couldn't be happier with Carrig Montessori. My son loves both of his exceptionaly talented and bright teachers. We love that he is in a safe, caring, stimulating place all day. He learns through the Montessori philosophy of learning and from the older children in his class. It seems to be the ideal setting for him to grow and thrive. He learns about Picasso and the Chinese New Year and about paralellagram and he is already starting to sound words out. We have noticed a huge change in his vocabulary, his confidence, and his fine motor skills in just the few months he has been there. But mostly what I love is being able to drop him off in the morning knowing he is going to be treated with care.

This school is amazing. It has exceptionally loving, smart, enthusiastic and kind teachers. Children’s needs are met and they are encouraged to explore their own interests, so they enjoy learning. The director and the teachers are very accessible and open to dialogue. The multi-age Montessori setting provides an excellent opportunity to learn lessons both about responsibility and compassion. This school has wholly fulfilled our expectations since we have seen our daughter thrive there. The sense of community among the parents is also wonderful. We are very grateful to Carrig Montessori School.

Carrig has been our son's first full time venture outside the house and it has been such an important and wonderful part of his development and social life- as well as our own in introducing us to this wonderful community of parents and kids. Getting into Carrig doesn't only provide you and your child with the best program and most wonderful teachers you could expect for your young toddler, but also connects you to a wonderful group of people. It is not just the school hours, but also the after school play ground at cooper park, and an opportunity to jump start your kid's social life, as well as your own as a parent looking to socialize with other quality parents with kids your child age. If you can get in, jump on your spot and snatch it before someone else does! I feel confident to say that it is the best school up to Pre-K in NYC.

Carrig Montessori is a great school.

It is difficult to find words that do justice to Carrig Montessori. We joined the school early and took a big risk by enrolling in a yet to be proven institution. The risk was worthwhile because the school has turned out much better than we expected. The school is a peaceful and orderly place of learning; the teachers are very well trained in the Montessori system and they are intricately involved in the learning of each child. What better measure than the fact that the children love their school and teachers. The school community is made of a varied group of interesting but uncomplicated people; and Carrig Montessori has made a deep impact on the neighborhood, Cooper Park is now a safe and cheerful place.

I honestly believe that Carrig Montessori is -by far- the best school in Williamsburg.
