I chose Ward Carpenter as my PCP after checking out his website etc. Upon arrival, the waiting room was lovely, they use cool electronic devices to check you in. I only waited 10 minutes, and Dr. Carpenter was super thorough. Our first appointment together was amazing. I left his office feeling like he was sincerely invested in my health, and was relieved to have found such a great doctor in Manhattan.
HOWEVER, after going for blood work the following week, I got a call from the office asking that I come in for a follow-up appointment. It has been 3 weeks and everytime I have called I have been immediately placed on hold. This immediate hold has happened 6 times now, and I have even made sure to call at different times of the day. (I am on hold RIGHT NOW, and we are nearing 7 minutes) This is NOT how I expected to be treated after meeting Dr. Ward Carpenter and being so impressed with him. I am concerned, what if there was an emergency, and I was really sick? I cannot even get a live person on the phone.
May have to start the search for a PCP again.
