Arthur and his tailors were the best. I have used many tailors in New York City, and with mixed results at best. I have yet to find a tailor as good as These guys. I understand Arthur has retired and a man named John now owns the business. I will keep using them, though Arthur's retirement is a loss, and he will be missed in the business. Surely by me.

I recently had the pleasure of coming into Carmine&Arthur Clothiers. Having never bought a custom made shirt before, Arthur took me step by step from explaining the quality of each fabric to choosing what was "in" this season and finally to measuring me and completing my order. After recieving my new custom shirts, I am thrilled to say that they are beautifully constructed and fit me perfectly. I will be back again.

I had the worst clothing experience ever with this place. There is nothing customized about it, other than the headaches they create through amazing ineptitudes. After four fittings (one a my home) my suits still don't fit right. The shirts were all different sizes--yes even after they were re-cut. Plenty of apologizes and excuses for the faux pas', but little follow through. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this store. Buy off the rack before venturing to Carmine and Arthur's. Sad experience!
I have only bought custom clothes for the past 20 years and this one is off my list.

I thought the guys that worked in finance were the biggest a-holes on wall street, but was sorely mistaken after having taken several suits for simple alterations to this tailor.
The craftsmanship was well below poor, the prices were high (I got charged for them having to take my suit back because they botched up my suit the first time), and the storekeeper, Anthony, was beyond rude. Don't waste your time.
