In regards to "Chrissy`s" review their are several state rules and guidelines that we must follow. One of them being all kids eat together. I can assure you that no child goes hungry at Candyland. We try our best to accommodate everyones needs. As far as illnesses go we can not control when children get sick and what they get sick with. What we can control is by sending an ill child home and by keeping the school as clean as possible. Unfortunately we understand that this is a inconvenience to working parents, But that is our school policy to control the spread of illnesses in our school. as far as "tieing " children in chairs we do have 4 high chairs in our toddler room. Which we use for feeding times. Our CDA certified toddler teacher is very attentive to her class of 15 months to 2 year olds. they know counting, colors, shapes, and songs.

Parents, beware. This is one of the worst daycares I have ever experienced. The children are constantly getting ill, will diseases like scarlet fever. They let children run around with dirty noses. They lock your child in chairs when they arrive in the morning so they cannot move around the classroom. They challenged me in why the children need additional snack because the kids are very hungry around 4-5pm and they do not want to give them anything to eat. The director's attitude is rude and they will falsely indicate your child has a fever so they don't have to come to school but yet you have to pay them for the time your child is out. Stay away! Yes, the tuition is the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. I have not seen my daughter develop academically at all and I have not seen any sample if academic work since she attended.

My son started play school at the young age of 2 years, which went on for about six months before we decided to move to the United States. Being an active child I wanted my son to maintain the continuum and engage in a constructive and learning environment. I also was skeptical because it was a whole new place and I was not sure how my child will take the transition.
I enrolled my child in CandyLand in the toddlers class with Ms. Theresa, Ms. Maggie and Ms.Elizabeth. My child enjoyed the environment and often talked about Ms. Theresa which gave me the confidence to have him continue there. The class followed a particular curriculum with fun filled activities which was engaging and interesting for my son. He has been proud of all the things he did in the class and often likes to decorate his room with the crafts he did in school. One thing I really liked was a chart of the activities and things the child did in his time in school including food and rest time. This encouraged me to have a conversation regarding his day and also helped him to communicate more.
He now is in the Pre-K class with Ms. Katie and Ms. Gianna as his teachers. The class is structured and has a fine balance of written work along with both age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. My son has grown more confident around his peers and like being around his teachers. They also have homework for children everyday which gives me an opportunity to be aware of my child’s skills and areas that need more work.
The school also engages parents and even grandparents in number of creative ways. I enjoy these opportunities which help me learn a little bit more about the people who are taking care of my child. Ms. Laura Guido, the Director of the school is cordial and is very aware of each child she has in her school. Even the teachers who are not directly teaching my son maintain a rapport with him and enquire about his growth every time they see me.
Overall I feel comfortable in the environment and would recommend it to anyone who wants a diverse setting for their child. They provide quality education through qualified teachers for an affordable price.

My son started in Candyland 3 years ago when he was 2 1/2 years old. He just graduated Pre-k from Candyland this summer. While he was there, I always knew he was in excellent hands, and I never had to be worried. Not only did his teachers in Candyland help improve his academic growth, but they also helped him improve his overall social interaction skills.
All the staff to the director are extremely professional and supportive, and above all have a passion for teaching. A special shout-out to his prek teachers who were on top of things all the time. The curriculum has been educational and fun at the same time.
I would highly recommend this place to any parent looking for an excellent daycare or preschool.

I went there just to see what the school is about and what I experienced was horrible. The teachers they have there are very young and clearly inexperienced. The school looked unorganized and the teachers didn't seem to care about the children. I even heard a teacher screaming downstairs at other children. I would strongly advise that no parent bring their child here!
