This place totally sucked. I've been there several times and the last two visits were horrible service. I left there today not ever wanting to return.

I went here to get my acrylic filled in and left extremely unhappy. They advertise fill ins at $25 which is pretty standard but they are the only salon I have ever been to that charges a full manicure price for polish on fill ins AND charges to "shape" the nail (they completely botched the great shape I walked in with and had specifically asked them not to touch). Not to mention they did not tell me any of this until my cash was in their hand and they were asking me for more. What I expected to be a $35-40 trip to the salon cost me $60 + tip and they looked surprised / insulted when I (though angrily) handed them a 20% tip. I shouldn't have tipped them at all and instead considered the extra charges their tips but I didn't fully process what had happened until I walked out the door fuming. I would consider the job done on my nails average and the atmosphere very poor and gloomy. Try a different salon, don't waste your money here.

After reading reviews of several places in the area, I decided to check out Candy Nail Salon. The area is usually pretty quiet on weekends, so I didn't make an appointment. I did, however, drag my sister with me. When we first arrived at the address, I wanted to turn around. It looked like a dirty, old building with only a sign propped up against the door. But I wanted to get a mani/pedi before Christmas, so we made our way up the stairs. The floor opens up and there's a couch against the right wall) and the bathroom is to the left. We lingered at the door for a while and a lady asked what we wanted. I told her I'd like the mani/pedi special ($16.75 cash with a minimum of $5 for tip). She told me to pick a color which took longer than necessary as I didn't see the chart they had near the polishes. I picked out one of my favorite colors (Mademoiselle) and Nancy directed me to a pedi chair. There were 2 other women already getting pedicures and the rest of the chairs were covered with stools. My toenails were clipped, filed slightly and cleaned; my cuticles were pushed back and cut; my foot was scrubbed with lotion using a pumice stone.
At this time, my sister decided she'd get a manicure. She was told manicures cost $8.50 (although the signs all say $8). And her manicure was quick! I was barely done with my pedicure when she was moved to the drying stations. I later found out (after we left) they cut her nails much shorter and squarer than she wanted and the polish had tons of bubbles.
Nancy put lotion on my lower legs and wiped it off immediately with a hot towel. My pedicure was complete after a base layer, 2 coats of polish, and a top coat. I wish I had more time to check out the massaging chair.
Next, I was moved to a table where fans went to work drying my toenails. The manicure was just as quick and procedural as the pedicure. The only time Nancy spoke to me was to ask whether I wanted to cut my nails (a little). I also asked her to keep my nails round, which she said she would (but didn't really). I paid $22 before the polish went on. Mademoiselle is light but my nails look like they were only painted with a clear coat.
After 15-20 minutes of drying, we left. By then 3-4 more people had come in for the same deal. (Apparently they usually let you substitute the regular manicure for gel, but not over the weekend.) I can't say we'd be tripping over myself to come back; they need to take a little more time and care with their service, but overall, the place got the job done.

Terrible service and unpleasant atmosphere....
Manicurist Annie, who did my manicure, did not want to cut cuticles when I asked (I really thought this is what manicure is all about) and then hold the cuticle cutter in-properly. Then I was told not to come back during lunch time because she is too busy. On top of that she had an attitude.
Ambience- TACKY. Uncomfortable/ ugly/ dirty chair cushions at the dry station and flies all over.
They DO NOT disinfect their tools or work stations.
They DO NOT speak English.
The charges for manicure are ridiculous - they simply add up like $3 to use second color, $3 to cut, $3 to delete, $2 to look, $4 to paste.....just every step of ms excel spreadsheet....The total cost = $38 plus $5 minimum tip which is mandatory in this place!!! and...Extra Charge if paying with credit card.
Horrible... I do not suggest this place....
