SCAM WARNING!

No one should ever use Caliber Associates. They will try to pretend that they are your friend so that you sign a terrible agreement offering them nearly a 2 month broker fee (15% annual rent), all for just handing you the keys.

The worst part about it, the apartments they show are actually no fee apartments. They are tricking renters into paying them a fee for no-fee apartments. This should be investigated.

There agreement also states that "I guarantee to notify Caliber Associates regarding any complaints or issues I have for resolution before reaching out to any media outlets." Seems like they must get a ton of complaints, if they have to put this language.

My husband and I are relocating from Chicago to NYC because of my new job. We had heard that the process of securing an apt in NYC was very time consuming and difficult. Our first night in town on our apartment finding trip, we were perusing units on Cragslist. We found a unit in UES that we liked, so we contacted Jennifer Peterson. Even though it was rather late, she replied right away. We met her the next morning and proceeded to see 7 units she planned for us based on our priorities and needs. She was very friendly and taught us a lot of things about NYC that we might not have otherwise known. She was full of insightful tips about ways to enjoy the city and some in an affordable way! After we looked at all the units, she told us to grab some lunch and talk it over. She stayed in the area in case we were ready to make a decision that day, and we were! She met us again at the leasing office a couple hours later and we applied! Jennifer made the process incredibly smooth and stress-free. I will definitely seek her out in our next apartment move!

Steven is great to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the area and about the various buildings in the neighborhood and beyond. I really appreciate his honesty about the various properties, as this was very helpful in our making an informed, quick decision at a time when apartments are renting quickly. I was receiving incomplete or occasionally inaccurate information from other brokers, so it was great to work with someone who really knows his stuff. When we were ready to apply, he let me use his office to print out all of the application materials to ensure we were able to apply as soon as possible which helped to make sure we got the best shot at the apartment. He was very accessible throughout the entire process. He texted updates for the initial viewing and kept me updated throughout the application process from submission to approval. When it came time to sign the leases, he even came to my office to help make the process as easy as possible. Definitely would recommend working with Steven on your search!

Absolute WORST experience with a broker....made an appoinment a week in advance with "Danny" and 10 mins before our scheduled appointment he calls me and says Sorry but that listing has been taken. Really 10 mins before? Lets not forget this has been a week in planning. Then he states I do have others same area same price. Ok I said lets see them....Oh I can not today as Im in the city. WTH? What about our scheduled appointment for today? He proceeds to tell me that he will be available tomorrow same time. Ok fine lets do it as I do not have much time left where I am currently residing. Next Morning 1 hour before our scheduled appointment he text messages me saying "Its raining outside and my back hurts can we reschedule for Thursday" SERIOUSLY!? After what we just went through......DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS!!!! Unprofessional, no customer service no nothing!!
