VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...SLUM LORDS
I rented an 2nd floor apartment on Prospect St in East Orange from this place for 2 years. The only person helpful at the Management office was Gladys the receptionist and now she's gone. Fast forward to moving out. There was mold on the ceiling in almost every room. My hallway ceiling started leaking from the smoke detector and could never get anyone to come out to fix it. They kept most of my security deposit trying to say I moved a month early when my lease was in fact up. I called several times to speak to Blanca from August to December and never once received a call back. Here it is 2 months after I moved and still trying to get the security deposit they were giving me back. Their garage is overpriced and whatever is leaking from the ceiling destroys your car paint and windows. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. MOVED JANUARY 2017

This place is Exceptionally unprofessional. Long hold times and nothing gets done. I applied for an apartment, one month later...no word as it relates to the status of the application. All I can hear is that 'he' hasn't reviewed them yet. Fast forward four months later and they're asking to send in another application.
A tennant that lives there told me the toilets and showers over flow and management is crappy. At least I dodged a bullet.
This place is CRAP!

Please don't be disappointed about not being able to have Calello Agency as your landlords. Here is what you will experience: rude staff, poor heat, leaking roof, mold, and mice. They are slow to respond to maintenance, if at all, that is unless you call the housing authorities. However, they are quick to write you up if your kids play on the lawn, if your bank inadvertently forgot to send the rent (no warning or a courtesy call, just a notice to go to court and be evicted including court fee). Needless to say, I currently live here and hoping and praying that I would be able to break my lease because of the bad conditions in the apartment.

I submitted a pretty application almost a month ago and I still haven't heard from the company. They supposedly have several apts available but you wouldn't know that by the way they handle their business. The receptionist Gladys has supposedly been returning my calls for the last 2 weeks about the status of my application. I have been calling for a week for her to tell me to call her back tomorrow or the boss isn't in. Call back the day after next and its the same response. I don't even think I want to do business with anyone as unprofessional as this company..rent from elsewhere
