Was looking through Yelp for some scotch bars uptown and Caledonia came up. Being a lover of scotch, I had to give it a try. The scotch selection is extensive. I like that they group all of the bottles by distillery location behind the bar. There were tons of options. Its hard to find bars that have such a large scotch list. I was highly impressed.
As for the actual bar itself, it is dark and narrow with a few couches in the back. There is not much room to stand, if everyone is sitting at the bar. Luckily I was able to secure one of the couches for a couple hours.
The drinks options are excellent and the bar is decent. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area.

Favorite local bar. Small selection of beer, they have all angles covered. But hey you are not coming to this bar for beer. Scotch, and lots of it. Lots of it.
Friendly staff.

If whiskey, bourbon, or scotch are your thing, Caledonia is for you. The selection is varied and vast and bartenders are well-versed. Cocktails are strong and tasty. Can be quite popular and crowded.

We went to this 'pub' for the Scottish independence referendum. The first sign that it was not actually a Scottish pub was that the Scottish beers were served in stemmed glasses. We then found that they were not showing coverage (beyond Fox news' occasional flash of Braveheart, which is actually quite offensive as the representation of a historical political moment). There was one bartender on duty - quite pathetic when the bar was packed with people (getting increasingly frustrated at sitting in perhaps the only 'Scottish pub' in the world which was ignoring the referendum.) The bartender got irate when I asked if there was a better channel or one actually covering the referendum, as seemingly I wasn't the only one to ask . This is a bit like a sports bar not showing the Superbowl, but worse. There was a good selection of whisky, so I'd recommend this place market itself as a whisky bar rather than a Scottish pub when clearly its connection to Scotland is tenuous beyond whisky and kitch tartan.
