Love this place. The variety of items always astounds me. The menu isn't afraid to add some new things and keep old favorites. The food is well prepared and cooked to order. The staff is friendly and helpful. The refrigerators in the front rotate and offer quite a few different drinks, cheeses and other items. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely check this place out.

Perfect. Friendly. Good food. Fun! (ya gotta love the people who complain about the prices! Probably the same folks who want to give employees a fair wage, but apparently don't want to pay for it).

OVERALL: Highly recommended. Great food, service and overall vibe. Good hangout.++++ FOOD: Good coffee. Great menu with enough variety. Reasonably priced in my view. All food is made-to-order pretty much in front of you: it's all fresh and organic. I really enjoy their financiers (: especially the raspberry and pistachio :); "Best Bagel Sandwich In The World" with soft Everything Bagels, egg scramble, spicy habanero sauce; 3-Egg Scramble with Spinach, Leek on Garlic Olive Oil soaked toast; Spicy Eggs and Potatoes, Spinach-Rice-Egg (: with very tasty Zaatar powder :) Brekkie Bowl, I have only tried the regular Americano so far and I'd say it is good.++++ PRICE: Reasonable considering other similar setups. As a very broad indicator I'd say you're looking at $12-15 per person for coffee + 1 menu item + 10-15% tip.++++ SERVICE: Staff are friendly and efficient. Order and collect at counter for Coffee and snacks. Table service for menu items.++++ AMBIANCE: Simple. Laid-back. Pleasant. Has some sit-out space under the awning. Feels a bit "crowded" but really enough seating for a café with power outlets at every other seat for those who need to use their devices for a longer period. Quite cozy. Clean. Music playing. Free wi-fi. Generally busy place. Good vibes. Nice crowd. Lotsa cuties.++++ LOCATION: Easy to find. Almost right opposite Cortelyou Rd (:Q:) subway stop.

Outrageous pricing, obnoxious (and obnoxiously loud) music, and irreverent (read: insufferable) staff; if Qathra ever decides to stop being snobs and accept credit cards I would hope to see Madeline flop almost immediately.
The food is good, yes, but no better than Qathra, Milk and Honey, or Farm, all of which have better service, a less headache-inducing atmosphere, and more sensible pricing.
