i'm a new mom living in stamford, i had my baby in december.
i'm taking the time to write this because i am shocked at how lackadaisical the BBB staff are about customer service.
i opened my baby registry on BBB online and i received an expensive travel system from my aunt. my husband & i decided to return it and exchange for a crib which we felt we needed more (in hindsight we didn't; she barely sleeps in it).
to make sure we had no issues with return we took it all the way to porchester in its original packaging and handed it over and bought the crib.

well early this month i get a call from my beloved aunt saying she has been getting unending phone calls and messages from some strange lady saying she found her number and details in a travel system she bought off craiglist. so my aunt calls me to ask what's going on; i told her we exchanged it for a crib but she sounded like she believed we took her gift and went straight to sell it on craiglist for a quick buck. HOW EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING. i got the strange lady's no; she said she bought it off a guy on craiglist who said his sister got it as a gift and it still had all my aunt's info and ADDRESS AND NUMBER and everything in it! she also said she called BBB and the mgr said it may have been stolen but didn't seem bothered. and the store DID NOT THINK IT FIT to call and let me know my information and that of my aunt has been stolen and is in the hands of strangers so we should beware! can't believe they are this uncaring!

Easy to make a registry there, customer service was good, however online returns to the store can be challenging.

It's unfortunate that I cannot give buybuy Baby any stars. I have shopped in this store for the past year. I also had my registry at this store and have spent thousands of dollars creating a nursery and buying diapers. Today, the employees and manager showed horrible customer service. I asked the manager if they would accept a CVS coupon and he said "yes" "I know you price match, but will you accept a coupon from CVS". The manager said, yes. There was no more Pampers size 3 at the store so I asked if they would ship them. The manager said yes again. The sales associate who was told to help me did not know how to complete this order and had me wait 20 minutes until someone could help her. After my order was placed in the computer 10 minutes later. The manager was called to verify it. The manager told me he would didn't approve the price matching. 35 minutes later! The manager who I asked about the coupon say I never said we would price match. buybuy baby signs say they price match!!! I told the manager I have been her 35 minutes with a 6 month old and he did not care and refused to price match!
